Testing and Fire Safety
Testing and Fire Safety
Testing
What you see is not always what you get, especially in electrical terms. An installation may look good at first sight, but what can not be seen may contain many misdemeanours. It is recommended that a domestic property should be tested every 10 years, or on change of tenant.
Other properties testing periods depend on usage. From the simple mortgage check, landlords check or to full periodic checks on larger properties we can offer all. Wether it be peace of mind or insurance requirements - be safe, be secure, be tested. After all, its your life you're gambling with!
Fire Safety
The protection of life and property is an essential consideration that everyone has to take. As an installer of fire protection for domestic, commercial and industrial properties we can offer advice and solutions.
Whether it be new installs, we also offer maintenance and testing of alarm systems, as it is important to ensure that existing systems are available to do their task should it be required.
It is very important to have regular testing done, as you are not able to see what is going on beneath your floors and walls.
From a commercial and industrial point of view, insurance companies are widely asking for test certificates. Fire certificates are no longer issued to commercial and industrial premises and it is the responsibility of the building owner/business owner to have a safe working environment.
HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK ACT 1974.
This brings in the need for regular testing of both fixed wiring and work place appliances;these know as periodic and PAT testing.
Also under H&S act 1974, you need to provide adequate safety measures in the way of Fire Alarms to BS 5389 and emergency lighting to BS 5266. If not kept up to proper standards the responsibility lies with the owner and they could find themselves on manslaughter charges in the event of any accidents or incidents.
We can provide services for both new and upgrade of installs and advise on existing equipment including planed maintenance and testing.
